2025 Phoenix Cup Charity tournament Volunteers Needed

This is an adult 3-on-3 Hockey tournament raising money for families affected by pediatric cancer. This year beneficiary is a family of Houston-area hockey player whose young son is battling cancer.

This year, ISHL was asked by the Phoenix Cup organizers if we could help. We are asked to help with the following tasks:

- on ice help to move bumpers dividing the rink for ice cuts every hour and then re-assemble the bumpers. Volunteers should wear skates.

- off ice help with scorekeeping during the games. Scorekeeping for 3-on-3 games played on half-ice is just flipping the score cards. We do not need to operate an electronic scoreboard.

Both tasks can be done by the same volunteers.

 

Each shift is 2 hours, but players are welcome to sign up for more than one shift. We need 2-4 volunteers for each shift (3-5pm, 5-7pm, 7-9pm, 9-11pm). If a team wants to block one shift and bring more than 4 players to work as a team, that is fine. Just let me know how many players a team will bring. 

ISHL will sign off volunteer hours for our players.
